Don't block shadow AI on campus. Out-design it.

Conventional shadow AI controls do not survive contact with university governance, and FERPA exposure grows daily. There is a different answer: stop treating the campus network as an enforcement point and start treating it as a strategic platform. When on-campus AI unlocks institutional context (degree audits, LMS, scheduling, and ERPs) that off-campus AI cannot reach, students and faculty seek the network out. Governance follows naturally.
